Talson employees spent February 8, 2019 in an interactive training session, hearing from two dynamic speakers about effective communication and establishing and maintaining professional relationships as well as implementing Talson’s 2019 Firm Goals, which are:

On January 18, 2019, Talson hosted an Audit Roundtable at The Ace Club in Lafayette Hill, PA. Attendees spent the day sharing knowledge on the following topics:
Assessing for Risks Associated with Capital Projects
Communication with Stakeholders, Audit Committees, Boards, and Other Departments
Best Management Practices / Trends Related to Capital Project Auditing
Participating companies included Boston Properties, Brandywine Realty Trust, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Jefferson University, Liberty Property Trust, Main Line Health, Philadelphia International Airport, Princeton University, and University of Pennsylvania.

Talson’s Ken Brzozowski recently spoke at the National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA) 7th Annual Conference in September. Mr. Brzozowski presented at the “Procurement Best Practices: A Case Study” session on Tuesday, September 18 at 3:10pm. Additionally, this year marked the 10th Anniversary Celebration of NACA. The conference provided a forum for healthcare internal auditors to network and interact with their industry colleagues, to share internal audit best practices, and to strengthen the profession of healthcare internal auditing. On Tuesday, June 12, Robert S. Bright and Kenneth J. Brzozowski led two sessions at the Association of Airport Internal Auditors Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The first session, entitled “Auditing Capital Projects: Why, How & When,” focused on developing and incorporating a construction audit strategy within an institution’s internal audit plan. The interactive conversation covered the basic questions of why a construction audit might be needed, how to perform a construction audit and when they should occur. The second session was
